To tie in with BSAC’s #GreatBritishDiving photo competition, we are going to run our own! You have until the 31 December 2016 to submit a photo, so if you haven’t already taken a winning image, there is plenty of time to get your camera out and get snapping. Don’t worry if you don’t have any underwater camera equipement, there is a category for photographs taken on dry land.

We will organise an evening at the club at the beginning of 2017 to view and vote on the photos to select our winners – with mystery prizes to be won.

RBSAC Photography Competition Details

Deadline 31 December 2016.


WRECK – This can be any picture of a wreck, or wreckage.

MARINE LIFE – This might be any type of wildlife picture.

ABOVE WATER – Any picture taken above the water line.


For each category, please provide location details and, if possible, some details of what camera has been used to take each picture.

Please only submit a maximum of 3 photos per category.

Send entries as jpeg files to


  1. Any Committee decision is final.
  2. Any entrant must be a current member of RBSAC or TVSAC.
  3. Photos must have been taken by you on a club dive 1 January 2016 – 31 December 2016.
  4. No more than 3 photographs per category per person.
  5. You agree that work sent may be used by the club. (For example, on our website, Facebook page or Twitter feed and in any publicity materials for the club.)
  6. Entry must be a jpg file, submitted to Emma Harris by 31 December 2016. (
  7. The winners will be decided at a viewing and voting evening at the club early in 2017.
  8. The committee reserves the right (see rule 1) to amend these rules.
