Twelve members travelled the 6 and half hour journey to St Abb’s for a weekend of Scuba diving. We stayed at Eyemouth holiday park and boarded the boat at St Abbs’s harbour. The accommodation was on a clifftop with great views & walking distance to the town centre with good pubs, fish and chip and gelato. On Saturday we were treated to glorious sunshine. The following days weather was more ‘Scottish’. The water temperature remained a cool 9-10 degrees. The dives were scenic on rocky reefs with gullies and tunnels to swim through. We had dived Anemone Gully, Ebb Carr, Black Carr, Paul’s Gully, Wuddy Rocks and Thrummie Carr. There was a huge diversity of marine life including Wolf fish which can only be seen in a few locations in the UK. Some of us even had guillemot diving past us underwater. During our diving intervals we warmed up with some tea and cake and marvelled at the abundance of seabirds. A highlight of the trip was a delicious curry night cooked by Anne-Marie.
